Weight distributions of two classes of linear codes with five or six weights

چکیده
Linear codes with few weights have been an interesting subject of study for many years, as these applications in secrete sharing, authentication codes, association schemes, and strongly regular graphs. In this paper, two classes five-weight or six-weight linear over Fp are constructed their weight distributions determined by means exponential sums. one case, there some almost optimal respect to the Griesmer bound, which fact according online code tables.

In this paper, for an odd prime p, the weight distributions of two classes of p-ary cyclic codes are completely determined. We show that both codes have at most five nonzero weights.
